Way back in 2015, when we were “just friends,” we spent a day wandering around downtown Ventura with our friend Camille. We ended up at The Tavern, a bar tucked inside an old house just off Main Street.
On our way out, we stopped to admire a vintage Cadillac parked outside. Camille decided it was too good a photo to pass up—she told us to “act candid,” and snapped this picture.
We look like a young couple having a meet-cute in a bygone era. It was so inherently romantic that we joked it would make a cute save-the-date for a wedding we had absolutely no concept of (or intention of actually making happen).
Now, 11 years later, we’re returning to that same bar—now called The Victorian House—to celebrate our marriage, on our sixth anniversary as a couple.
Through luck or maybe a little bit of premonition, this photo captured a glimpse of a life we hadn’t yet imagined for ourselves. And now we get to realize it with you!

We reserved a room block at The Crowne Plaza Ventura, a beachfront hotel just half a mile from The Victorian House. The block is available for December 11th-13th. Use the booking link below to reserve a room at our group rate.

If you're flying, there are 3 airports to consider:
LAX
From LAX, you can uber, rent a car or book the Ventura County Airporter, which offers scheduled service between LAX and Ventura.
Hollywood Burbank Airport
From Burbank, you can uber, rent a car, or take the Metrolink Ventura county line toward Ventura.
Santa Barbara Airport
Flights can be more limited, but it’s a convenient choice if the schedule works for you!
If you're driving, there are several public parking lots in downtown Ventura, however availability and hours vary.
Transportation
Once you’re in downtown Ventura, getting around is easy. The hotel, wedding venue, restaurants, bars, shops, and the beach are all walkable!
Welcome Party
Harley's Camarillo is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Ventura. We recommend carpooling or sharing an Uber or LYFT.
Ceremony & Reception
The Crowne Plaza Hotel will offer a shuttle to the venue for hotel guests. However, it's an easy stroll if you prefer to walk!
Limited street parking is available near the venue.
Polar Plunge
We'll meet at the benches in front of the Crowne Plaza. There is a cheap public parking lot next to the Crowne Plaza, attached to Aloha's Steakhouse.

QUESTIONS
Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll take the night off and come party with us!
Absolutely not! Bowling is encouraged, but participating in the missed 5 pin as a spectator is completely acceptable.
Short Answer: The best hangover cure, and to us, the best way to kick off being married <3
Long Answer: Sunday morning, we’ll meet at the benches on the boardwalk in front of the Crowne Plaza for coffee and bagels. If you're up for it, a group of us will be running into the ocean together for a quick plunge. Participation in the plunge is very optional.
